Young people from every province and territory adopt the National Youth Statement 2026 in Islamabad on 26 and 27 December. Until 13 December, consultations continue across Pakistan, and any youth group, campus society or organisation can host one where it is.
Endorsed by YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of UN Climate Change (UNFCCC). Third edition, after 2023 and 2024. Local Conferences of Youth are named in Pakistan’s NDC 3.0 (2025, section 3.3).

Young people in Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Karachi, Chakwal, Lahore, Peshawar, Jhang, Mirpur and Gilgit wrote the zero draft of the National Youth Statement 2026. Its top ten priorities go to COY21 and COP31 in Türkiye in November, through YOUNGO.

Consultations continue in villages, districts, provinces and territories, and on campuses, and every voice goes in on a demand card. This season's goal is at least 147 events: 101 villages, 38 districts, all seven provinces and territories, and the national conference in Islamabad.

Hosts
Host a consultation
Any youth group, campus society or organisation can host one in its village, district or province, or on its campus. Free to host and free to attend, run from our kit, with a demand card for everyone in the room.

Become an Ambassador
District Ambassadors bring events to the district they live in. Campus Ambassadors bring a session to their university or college. There is no limit. The first group selected are the Founding Ambassadors, and the title comes with your first event.

Intern with the Secretariat
Four to six remote interns, at least 20 hours a week including weekends, for three months. Each owns one job, from communications to partnerships, and leaves with a certificate and a reference.

Lead your province
Seven Leads, one for each province and territory, each backed by a youth group, university society or organisation. Leads approve Ambassadors and events, and bring in the province conference.

ApplyEvery role is unpaid and open to young people aged 18 to 35. Organisations can partner with us.

Two days in Islamabad
On Sunday 27 December delegates from every province and territory adopt the National Youth Statement 2026, built from the demand cards of every consultation, and present it to the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination. Before that, its top ten priorities go to COP31, the UN Climate Change Conference, in Antalya from 9 November.

Four tracks
You choose one and help write its demands. Inside each track, working groups cover early warning and climate data, loss and damage and adaptation finance, the energy transition and clean air, and biodiversity, farming and water security.
Delegates
Who can come, and how to register
- Young people aged 18 to 35 who live in Pakistan. If you are under 18, register with a guardian's consent.
- Registration is free, and it stays open until the conference.
- Funded places cover travel and a stay for delegates from outside Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They are limited and go first to those who travel furthest. Ask for one on the form.

The Climate Prize
For young climate ventures that deliver on the National Youth Statement 2026. It launches on stage in Islamabad on Sunday 27 December, and replaces the Climate Pitch.
Its rounds follow after the conference, on dates announced with our prize partners. Climate Pitch applications carry over, so there is no need to apply again.

Skynok led LCOY Pakistan 2024 and leads the Secretariat again in 2026, with the same team of more than 100 volunteers. Supporters in 2024 included UNDP, the British Council, GIZ and Islamic Relief.

Volunteers
Volunteer at LCOY Pakistan 2026
Pakistan's national youth climate conference needs 100 volunteers in Islamabad on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 December 2026.
What you do. You join one of seven teams: registration, track halls, food, delegates and transport, stalls, stage and media, or floaters.
What you give. Both days from 07:00, plus one briefing and a venue walk through in the week before.
What you get. Meals, a certificate, and a place in the room where the National Youth Statement is adopted.
